The model was chosen to address the gap between students' desire to learn and their ability to cultivate curiosity. This research employed a phenomenological qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The findings reveal that the implementation of the "Inquiring Minds Want to Know" learning model in Arabic language instruction follows four main stages: (1) formulating questions that stimulate students' interest in learning and discussion, (2) providing opportunities for students to make predictions or guesses, (3) recording all student predictions without immediately providing answers to maintain curiosity, and (4) using questions as a bridge to connect learning materials and delivering appropriate answers throughout the learning process. This learning model has proven effective in enhancing students' active participation and critical thinking skills in the context of Arabic language learning.
2025-01-22T10:20:19+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/17624 Tathwîr al-Rusûm al-Hazliyyah al-Raqmiyyah 'alâ Tathbîq Canva li Ta'lîmi Mahârati al-Qirâah Ladâ Thullâbi al-Madrasati al-Ibtidâiyyah al-Islâmiyyah bi Indonesia 2025-01-31T06:27:31+07:00 Tiara Sabilla TiaraSabilla@mail.com Toto Edidarmo TotoEdidarmo@mail.com Achmad Fudhaili fudhaili@uinjkt.ac.id Shahid Seif al Din ShahidSeifalDin@mail.com Jawhar Youssef JawharYoussef@mail.com
This research aims to develop digital comics using the Canva application to teach reading skills, assess their validity, and analyze students’ interests and responses. Additionally, mind mapping boosts students' motivation, creating a more engaging and interactive learning experience. Despite some initial challenges in implementation, such as difficulties faced by some students, the method overall succeeded in creating a more enjoyable learning environment. This research suggests additional exploration and development of mind mapping in Arabic teaching to increase its effectiveness.
2025-01-30T20:05:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/18158 Denotative and Connotative Meanings in the Dialogue of Capernaum: A Semiotic Approach to Nadine Labaki’s Work 2025-01-31T08:44:24+07:00 Fitria Meisyaroh fitriameisyaaroh@gmail.com Dayudin Dayudin dayudin@uinsgd.ac.id Rohanda Rohanda rohanda@uinsgd.ac.id
The study of denotative and connotative meanings in the Arabic language remains limited, particularly regarding how meanings evolve within social and ideological contexts in films. Most previous research has predominantly focused on semantic analysis without considering the connotative aspects that shape social perceptions and representations. This study aims to analyze the denotative and connotative meanings of selected Arabic words using a qualitative approach through the perspective of Roland Barthes' Semiotics. Data were collected through non-participant observation and note-taking, while analysis was conducted using extralingual referential analysis, employing both comparative and contrastive methods. The findings reveal that words such as قيود, الجحيم, الإيجار, خادمة, and الهارب in the film Capernaum carry connotative meanings that reflect social constraints, suffering, exploitation, oppression, and the loss of identity. This study affirms that language is not merely a tool for communication but also an ideological instrument that represents social realities. This study implies that connotative meaning can enrich linguistic studies and provide deeper insights into language use across various social and cultural contexts.
2025-01-30T21:28:52+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab
