School year 2023/2024. Improving learning skills referred to in this study are istima' (listening), qira'ah (reading), kalam (speaking), and kitabah (writing) skills. This research is classroom action research (PTK), and its design uses the Kemmis and McTaggart model. This research was carried out salam 2 cycles in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year, namely in May 2024. The subjects of this study were VIII grade students of MTs Al-Hurriyyah Kutawaluya, consisting of 25 students. Data collection techniques used observation and interviews, and the data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed an increase in student learning skills, namely in cycle I by 73,25% (good category), then in cycle II, there was an increase, which amounted to 82,79% (very good category), and means that there is an increase; therefore, the use of the task-based language teaching (TBLT) method in Arabic language subjects can improve the learning skills of 8th-grade students of MTs Al-Hurriyyah Kutawaluya. This research supports the development of better Arabic learning strategies in Madrasah. Recommendations for future research: expand the variables and longitudinal design to understand the effects of TBLT in Arabic language teaching.
Nanang Kosim, Ade Arip Ardiansyah, Hilda Saripatul Hikmah, Yusuf Ali Shaleh Atha Copyright (c) 2024 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/14804 Wed, 31 Jul 2024 06:34:12 +0700 Harnessing Gemini for Arabic Mastery: Educators' and Learners' Views https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/14808
This study aims to explore the perspectives on the reliability of Gemini in Arabic language studies, supported by a comprehensive literature review for each segment. Adopting a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research focuses on examining the experiences and perceptions of academics regarding the use of the Gemini chatbot. The research population includes 120 students studying Quranic Sciences and Exegesis at STAI Al-Anwar Rembang, purposefully selected for their collective proficiency in the Arabic language. Additionally, 11 Arabic language teachers in Rembang are actively involved in developing a structured teaching framework enriched by Gemini. The result highlights the importance of collaboration among linguists, educators, and tech developers in leveraging Gemini, an AI tool, for effective Arabic language education, while addressing accuracy and privacy concerns. The researcher anticipates that this study will provide insights into integrating AI tools like Gemini into Indonesian curricula, enhancing Arabic language learning. It seeks to contribute to the discourse on technology-enhanced language education and its practical implications.
Nely Rahmawati Zaimah, Risti Kamila Wening Estu, Syarifatul Fitri Hidayah, Syamsul Hadi, Aiden Button Copyright (c) 2024 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/14808 Wed, 31 Jul 2024 06:41:19 +0700 Ta'zîzu Dâfi'iyyati Thullâbi Riyâdh al-Athfâl li Tathwîri Mahârât al-Lughah al-'Arabiyyah al-Syafawiyyah min Khilâli Barâmiji al-Ta'lîm al-Mukatstsaf https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/12195
This research study was motivated by several key factors. Firstly, the Arabic language holds great religious and cultural significance in Indonesia, as it is a core component of Islamic identity and practice, particularly in the context of Quranic education for children. However, many students at Quranic preschools struggle with developing proficiency in spoken Arabic. Additionally, educational literature emphasizes the critical role of student motivation in facilitating effective language learning outcomes. Therefore, it was important to investigate the factors influencing students' motivation to learn Arabic in this specific educational setting. Moreover, most prior research in this field has been conducted in non-Indonesian contexts, necessitating localized studies to explore the nuances of the Indonesian educational dynamics. Ultimately, this research aimed to help address the gaps in the existing body of knowledge around Arabic language instruction in Indonesian Quranic preschools. The researcher employed a quantitative approach and simple linear regression to analyze data collected from interviews, observations and questionnaires. Statistical tests of validity, reliability, normality, linearity and correlation were performed on the questionnaire data using SPSS. The iresults ishowed ithat iintensive Arabic classes had a significant effect on students' motivation to learn speaking skills, as idemonstrated iby ia ip-value iof iless ithan i0.05. Regression analysis further reported that these classes influenced motivation by 33.1%, as indicated by the R-squared value. Therefore, the intensive language exposure appeared to positively impact the kindergarteners' drive to develop their Arabic communication abilities.
Nurul Hadi, Nuri Alvina, Khaled Radhouani Copyright (c) 2024 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/12195 Wed, 31 Jul 2024 06:47:57 +0700 Linguistic Harmonization: Dissecting Alfiyah Ibn Malik with Chomsky's Transformational Generative Theory https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/14610
This study is motivated by the need to update and deepen the understanding of Alfiyah Ibnu Malik through a modern linguistic perspective, given the complexity of the 1,002 stanzas that are difficult for students with a weak language foundation to comprehend, and the existing gap in the literature regarding the application of Transformational Generative Theory (TGT) in Arabic grammar, which can help elucidate language structure and enhance understanding and interest in learning. This research aims to examine Alfiyah Ibnu Malik using the modern linguistic approach of Transformational Generative Theory (TGT). The research method applied is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that Transformational Generative Theory has specific characteristics in linguistic studies, including deep and surface structures, the concepts of competence and performance, as well as specific and general transformations. Additionally, TGT includes a universal grammar that can be applied to Alfiyah Ibnu Malik. The application of TGT to Alfiyah Ibnu Malik reveals that specific transformations occur in various aspects of Arabic grammar, including optional and obligatory deletion, optional substitution, optional replacement, optional expansion, optional addition, and optional and obligatory permutation.
Khoirul Mubin, Nasiruddin, Boby Bagas Purnama, Dionisia Folliero Copyright (c) 2024 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/14610 Wed, 31 Jul 2024 06:51:07 +0700 Analysis of the Arabic Language Textbook for Junior High School from the Perspective of the Education, Standards, Curiculum, and Assesment Agency (BSKAP) https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/13941
Many textbooks available in the market require educators to be selective when choosing and using them as sources of knowledge to support learning. A high-quality textbook should align with the developmental and growth stages of students to achieve national educational goals. This study aims to evaluate and develop Arabic language textbooks based on BSKAP qualifications. The research employs a qualitative-evaluative approach, specifically a library research study with content analysis. For data analysis, Krippendorf's model is used, and the validity of the data is ensured by cross-checking the findings. The study's results highlight four aspects of textbook feasibility established by BSKAP: content/material feasibility, presentation feasibility, language feasibility, and design/graphic feasibility. Some indicators within each aspect require revisions, additional materials, and innovations from the authors of the Arabic textbooks under KMA 183 and the Arabic language educators who are implementing the independent curriculum.
Nabila Nailil Amalia, M. This research is qualitative and uses a field research approach. The data sources are Arabic language teachers and third-grade students from MI Al-Hidayah Mangli Jember. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the scramble method in connecting Arabic letters in maharatul kitabah learning involves three stages: planning, execution, and evaluation. The supporting factors for implementing the scramble method include student enthusiasm and motivation, the presence of engaging game elements, heterogeneous group division, and the provision of rewards. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the teacher's limited understanding of student conditions, differences in student learning abilities, and limited time allocation. These findings can serve as a reference for Arabic language practitioners in exploring appropriate methods for teaching Arabic.
Nurul Huda, Isnaini Maulidia Annisa, Muhammad Nuruzzaman Syam Copyright (c) 2024 Alibbaa': Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/alibbaa/article/view/15084 Wed, 07 Aug 2024 15:16:18 +0700
