The aim is to describe the cultural context using multimodality elements with data sources in the form of TikTok content containing cultural aspects. This research used descriptive qualitative methods with reading and note-taking techniques. The theories were related to authentic dimensions, multimodality, and cultural context. The results showed that culture's values, rules, and social systems can be explained effectively through a multimodality approach that includes visual, gestural, aural, and linguistic aspects. The cultural value system in the tradition of the Suling Dewa dance in Bayang Village shows belief values conveyed through various modalities. The rules and social systems in the tradition of Kerik Gigi of the Mentawai tribe and the use of silk sarong in the Bugis community show that cultural rules and social status are explained and understood through multimodality, helping to transmit cultural knowledge effectively from generation to generation. In conclusion, understanding culture through multimodality is essential in this era of globalization to remain relevant and effective in learning. It can enhance mutual respect for cultural differences and intercultural communication in educational and social environments.
2024-07-10T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 GHANCARAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesiahttps://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/ghancaran/article/view/11929Suara Naratif dalam Na Willa Karya Reda Gaudiamo: Perspektif Naratologi Gerard Genette2024-07-25T09:35:37+07:00Alhasanah Zahroalhasanahzahro@mail.ugm.ac.idNovi Siti Kussuji Indrastutinoviindrastuti68@gmail.com
In the children's novel Na Willa, there are significant differences in narrative development compared to children's stories in general. The difference is seen in the approach to the delivery of advice, teachings, and morals. In Na Willa the narrative is still present, but not as the purpose of the story. This study aims to find the narrative voice and reveal its function in Na Willa's novel. The research results identify three categories of narrative voice in this novel, including 1) storytelling time with subsequent, prior, simultaneous, and interpolated techniques, 2) narrator techniques using homodiegetic and autodiegetic narrators, and 3) narrative level at extradiegetic-homodiegetic. The findings conclude that the function of narrative voice in the novel is not only as a tool to convey the story, but also to build emotional closeness with the reader. The approach of using children's point of view or perspective as the narrator and main character allows child readers to feel more connected and enjoy the story more freely and creatively.
2024-07-10T15:17:37+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 GHANCARAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesiahttps://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/ghancaran/article/view/12274Bahasa Gender dalam Novel Perempuan di Titik Nol Karya Nawal El-Saadawi2024-07-25T09:35:48+07:00Siva Atali Auliasivaa2926@gmail.comYunita Suryaniyou.n1t4@gmail.comSalimulloh Tegar Sanubariantosali004@brin.go.id
The novel Women at Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi discusses gender language which is linked to Robin Lakoff's theory regarding language and gender. The method chosen in this research is SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. In this research, 15 articles relevant to the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum and the problems faced by teachers in implementing it for the period 2022-2023 are reviewed with a focus on problems, teacher readiness and new curriculum implementation. The articles used in this study were obtained from Sinta Journal, and Publish or Perish. The results of this study show that firstly, most teachers faced challenges in understanding the concepts and teaching strategies promoted by the new curriculum. This indicates the need for increased training and debriefing of teachers to enable them to play their role as learning facilitators in the spirit of this curriculum. Second, limited facilities and infrastructure, both in terms of funds and teaching materials, are a serious obstacle to the implementation of this curriculum. Therefore, there is a need for further support from the government and related parties to ensure the availability of adequate infrastructure.
2024-07-10T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 GHANCARAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesiahttps://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/ghancaran/article/view/13279Pengembangan Bahan Simakan Drama Radio Berbasis Pengetahuan Lokal tentang Elit Lokal Madura untuk Siswa SMA2024-07-25T09:35:44+07:00Fiyan Ilman Faqihfiyan.faqih@trunojoyo.ac.idSiti Mutiatunsiti.mutiatun@trunojoyo.ac.id
Drama learning does not have to take the form of watching drama performances, but this learning can be done by listening to radio dramas. Through descriptive qualitative method, data were collected from excerpts in the novel, journals, and Marxist theory books, and then analyzed using reading and note-taking techniques. The findings show that the novel depicts harsh working conditions, where factory workers have to work under pressure with minimal wages, reflecting the reality of economic and social injustice. The power structure is depicted as very authoritarian, with factory owners and management having full power and unfair policies. The exploitation of laborers becomes a central theme, where they are forced to work long hours for disproportionate wages, reflecting the practice of exploitation in the capitalist system. The alienation of laborers is also clearly depicted, with laborers feeling separated from the fruits of their labor, losing purpose in their work. The results of the analysis show that the novel "Pabrik" reflects the socio-cultural reality of society and how Marxist theory provides a deep understanding of complex socio-economic dynamics in literary works, as well as revealing the complexity of power relations and exploitation in the context of factory workers' lives.
2024-07-10T17:29:23+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 GHANCARAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesiahttps://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/ghancaran/article/view/13006Toponimi Nama Jalan di Kelurahan Sasi, Kecamatan Kota Kefamenanu, Timor Tengah Utara, Nusa Tenggara Timur (Studi Etnolinguistik)2024-07-25T09:35:15+07:00Iswan Afandiiswan@unimor.ac.idJuandajuanda@unm.ac.id
This research describes the choice of street names in the Sasi sub-district, Kefamenanu, North Central Timor, and East Nusa Tenggara.
