Abstract
Para Imam Qurra’ berbeda pendapat dalam menghitung jumlah ayat al-Qur’an. Tujuan Penelitian ini, yaitu pertama, mendeskripsikan perbedaan pendapat para ulama tentang jumlah ayat pada masing-masing surat. Kedua, mendeskripsikan mushaf al-Quran yang diterbitkan oleh beberapa penerbit. Ketiga, merumuskan implikasi perbedaan pendapat para ulama terhadap penerbitan mushaf al- Quran.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian library research (study kepustakaan). Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tehnik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil Penelitian adalah terdapat tujuh madzhab yang terkenal mengenai penghitungan jumlah ayat al-Qur’an, yaitu pertama, Al-Madanî al-Awwal menyebutkan sebanyak 6217 atau 6214 ayat. Kedua, Al-Madanî al-Akhîr menyebutkan sebanyak 6214 ayat. Ketiga, Ahl Mekkah menyebutkan angka 6210 ayat. Keempat, Ahl Bashrah menghitungnya sebanyak 6204 ayat. Kelima, Ahl Damaskus berpendapat sebanyak 6227 atau 6226 ayat. Keenam, al-Humushi berpendapat sebanyak 6232 ayat. Ketujuh, ahl Kufah menyebutkan sebanyak 6236 ayat. Mushaf al-Qur’an yang diterbitkan di Indonesia jumlah ayat al-Qur’an sebanyak 6236 ayat. Mushaf Standar Indonesia mengikuti pendapat Kûfiy, yaitu Imam 'Asim (127/744), Imam Hamzah (156/772), Imam Al-Kisa'i (189/804) Khalaf al-Asyir (229/843), dan al-A’masy (148/765).
