Perilaku Konsumsi Generasi Milenial Terhadap Produk Kosmetik dalam Islam (Studi Pemikiran Monzer Kahf)
Abstract
Cosmetics and other beauty treatments are now a major need for women, especially the millennial generation. Millennials are a generation marked by changes or developments in life that can have an impact on the surrounding environment, people often refer to millennials as trend setters. In general, the findings of this study indicate significant changes in the way consumers spend their money. Consumption behavior based on Monzer Kahf's theory examines consumption ethics in Islam which can describe the consumption phenomenon that affects Muslims today, especially the millennial generation. This research is a descriptive research combined with literature research, namely a data collection method based on library data and relying on predetermined theories and concepts to be interpreted based on writing. The results of research on consumption behavior for cosmetic products carried out by the millennial generation are not fully consistent with the theory of consumption behavior implementation, because in the theory of consumption behavior based on Monzer Kahf's thinking, it emphasizes various interpretations of the application of the Islamic system. Where in the theory of its application, human choice and consumption of manufactured goods must fully comply with God's rules.
(Kosmetik dan perawatan kecantikan lainnya kini menjadi kebutuhan utama bagi wanita khususnya generasi milenial. Milenial adalah sebuah generasi yang ditandai dengan adanya perubahan atau perkembangan dalam kehidupan yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap lingkungan sekitar, orang-orang sering menyebut milenial sebagai trend setter. Secara umum, temuan studi ini menunjukkan perubahan signifikan dalam cara konsumen membelanjakan uang mereka. Perilaku konsumsi yang didasarkan pada teori Monzer Kahf mengkaji etika konsumsi dalam Islam yang dapat menggambarkan fenomena konsumsi yang mempengaruhi umat Islam saat ini, khususnya pada generasi milenial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dipadukan dengan studi kepustakaan (literature research) yakni metode pengumpulan data berdasarkan data pustaka serta mengandalkan teori dan konsep yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya untuk ditafsirkan berdasarkan tulisan. Hasil dari penelitian pada perilaku konsumsi terhadap produk kosmetik yang dilakukan oleh generasi milenial belum sepenuhnya sesuai pada teori penerapan perilaku konsumsi, karena dalam teori perilaku konsumsi berdasarkan pemikiran Monzer Kahf ialah menekankan berbagai interpretasi penerapan sistem Islam. Dimana dalam teori penerapannya, pilihan dan konsumsi manusia terhadap barang-barang manufaktur sepenuhnya harus sesuai dengan aturan Tuhan.)
