<p align="justify"><strong>PERDIKAN: <strong>Journal of Community Engagement</strong> </strong>(E-ISSN: <strong><a title="perdikan" href="http://u.lipi.go.id/1557806880" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2684-9615</a>) </strong>is a biannual (<strong>June</strong> and <strong>December</strong> each year) refereed journal concerned with the practice and processes of community engagement. It provides a forum for academics, practitioners, and community representatives to explore issues and reflect on practices relating to the full range of engaged activity. This journal is a peer-reviewed online journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality research focused on research, implementation, of policy about community engagement.</p> <p align="justify"><strong>PERDIKAN </strong>is published by LP2M IAIN Madura. This journal provides an opportunity to share detailed insights from different understandings and practices associated with community services. It also provides an international forum for cross-disciplinary exchange of insights and ideas regarding community engagement for dissemination.</p> <p align="justify"><strong>PERDIKAN</strong> will publish the articles to local or international society of practitioners and researchers with interest in community engagement from a wide variety of sectors. <strong>Community Engagement</strong> means community development, community services, community empowerment, community outreach, and action research.</p> <p align="justify"><strong>PERDIKAN </strong> is an open-access journal and free access (and free Registration). The authors can register online on the website and not charge any fee from registration process. <p align="justify">The digital village program answers the demands for implementing a village information system mandated by Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. However, implementing the digital village program still needs to overcome many obstacles, including in the Jambi Luar Kota District, one of the central education areas in Jambi Province. Therefore, the participation of the universities is urgently needed to strengthen digital villages in the Jambi Luar Kota District. This article was written based on community service activities that aim to build a base for implementing a digital village program in Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. The community service process used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method so that this program can build stakeholder knowledge and awareness of the program themes. This community service activity produced the internet network mapping in Jambi Luar Kota District, as well as the government and community's existing situation and supporting capacity in implementing digital villages. As a first step towards a digital village, villages are also assisted in creating village websites with the domain desa.id. Despite its many obstacles, this community service activity shows that the villages in Jambi Luar Kota District can develop into digital villages.<br><br>[Program Desa Digital menjawab tuntutan penerapan sistem informasi desa yang diamanatkan oleh Undang-undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa. Namun, pelaksanaan program Desa Digital ini masih mengalami banyak kendala, termasuk di Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota yang merupakan salah satu daerah pusat pendidikan di Provinsi Jambi. Oleh karena itu, sangat dibutuhkan partisipasi kampus dalam penguatan Desa Digital di Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota. Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk membangun basis implementasi Desa Digital di Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi. Proses pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode <em>Participatory Action Research (PAR)</em> sehingga program ini dapat membangun pengetahuan dan kesadaran pemangku kepentingan terhadap tema yang diangkat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menghasilkan peta kondisi jaringan internet di Kabupaten Jambi Luar Kota, serta situasi eksisting dan daya dukung pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam penerapan Desa Digital. <p align="justify">The practice of underage marriage still occurs in Indonesia, particularly in rural and remote areas. One of the efforts to prevent underage marriage is to provide strengthened pre-marital counseling to teenagers and future husband and wife, in that awareness and understanding of the importance of maturity at marriage, mental maturity and readiness to face and carry out marriage are built. This service has been conducted at Larangan Slampar village, Tlanakan District and Tanjung village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency by implementing a CBPR (Community Based Participatory Research) approach. The CBPR approach emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders in related areas, starting from planning and implementing carefully structured actions. The results of strengthening premarital counseling attracted the participants' attention because they felt comfortable telling stories, asking questions, and at the same time gaining knowledge about the substance of marriage, which up to now had been understood as a simple thing without a solid foundation. The participants, finally, are able to plan their future by implementing profound planning in deciding their marriage plan.</p> <p align="justify">[Praktik perkawinan di bawah umur masih marak terjadi di Indonesia, khususnya di pedesaan dan wilayah terpencil. Salah satu upaya pencegahan perkawinan di bawah umur adalah dengan memberikan penguatan konseling pra nikah kepada remaja dan calon pengantin, sehingga terbangun kesadaran dan pemahaman tentang pentingnya kematangan usia nikah, kematangan mental, dan kesiapan dalam menghadapi dan menjalankan perkawinan. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di Desa Larangan Slampar kecamatan Tlanakan dan desa Tanjung Kecamatan Pademawu, kabupaten Pamekasan dengan menggunakan pendekatan CBPR <em>(Community</em><em> Based Participatory Research)</em>. Pendekatan CBPR menekankan kolaborasi dengan stakeholder di daerah terkait, mulai dari merencanakan dan melaksanakan aksi yang disusun secara matang. Hasil penguatan konseling pra nikah ini cukup menarik perhatian peserta karena mereka merasa nyaman bercerita, bertanya, dan sekaligus mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang substansi perkawinan yang selama ini dipahami sangat sederhana tanpa landasan yang kokoh. <p align="justify">Excessive viewpoints, attitudes and behavior in religion have the potential to make someone go to extremes to feel that they are most righteous, feel most pious and most accepted by God. The effect of such a religious attitude will give birth to exclusivism in thinking, behaving and acting in society. People who do not agree with themselves are considered wrong, illegitimate and out of religion. Respect the red and white <em>musrik</em> flag, and the government as <em>thogut.</em> Such religious thoughts and attitudes still occur widely in society, especially in Wayratai District, Pesawaran Regency. Then several times <em>Densus 88</em> arrested suspected terrorists from Way Ratai District. Such religious attitudes are irrelevant to the objective conditions of diverse Indonesian society. This community service uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, starting with a field survey stage, identifying problems in the field, planning activities, implementing activities and ending with evaluation and monitoring. The subjects of service are the chairman of the mosque <em>takmir</em> and chairman of the <em>taklim</em> council in four villages in Wayratai District, Pesawaran Regency, namely Gunungrejo, Ceringin Asri, Kalirejo, and Mulyosari Village. Participants were invited to discuss how dangerous exclusive, radical religious perspectives and attitudes are in a diverse society like Indonesia, closing with the statement that a moderate attitude in religion is the best choice for Indonesian society. As reinforcement for mosque administrators and <em>taklim</em> councils, the service team provided religious moderation sermon books and guidance for taklim assemblies.</p> <p align="justify">[Cara pandang, sikap dan perilaku dalam beragama yang berlebihan berpotensi menjadikan seseorang bersikap ektrim, merasa paling benar sendiri, merasa paling saleh dan paling diterima Tuhan. Efek dari sikap beragama seperti itu akan melahirkan ekseklusivisme dalam berpikir, bersikap dan bertindak di tengah masyarakat. Orang yang tidak sepaham dengan dirinya dianggap salah, tidak sah, bahkan keluar dari agama. Menghormat bendera merah putih dianggap musrik dan pemerintah disamakan dengan thogut. Pemikiran dan sikap beragama seperti itu masih banyak terjadi di masyarakat terutama di Kecamatan Wayratai Kabupaten Pesawaran. Beberapa kali Densus 88 menangkap terduga teroris yang berasal dari Kecamatan Way Ratai. Sikap beragama demikian tidaklah relevan dengan kondisi obyektif masyarakat Indonesia yang beragam. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan <em>Parti</em><em>cipatory Action Research</em> (PAR) yakni dimulai dengan tahapan survey ke lapangan, mengidentifikasi permasalahan di lapangan, membuat perencanaan kegiatan, melaksanakan kegiatan dan diakhiri dengan melakukan evaluasi dan monitoring. Subyek pengabdian adalah ketua takmir masjid dan ketua majelis taklim di empat desa di Kecamatan Wayratai Kabupaten Pesawaran, yakni Gunungrejo, Caringin Asri, Kalirejo, dan Desa Mulyosari. Peserta diajak mendiskusikan betapa bahayanya cara pandang dan sikap beragama yang eksklusif atau radikal di tengah masyarakat yang beragam seperti Indonesia. Diskusi ditutup dengan statement bahwa sikap moderat dalam beragama adalah pilihan terbaik bagi masyarakat Indonesia. <p align="justify">Mendahara Village is highly vulnerable to fire disasters. Situational analysis results show that Mendahara Village is a densely populated area, with most of the houses made of wood, a low understanding of disaster management, a lack of awareness about disaster preparedness concepts, the absence of a disaster preparedness framework, and no existing policies or regulations from the village government regarding fire disaster management. Various community service activities have enhanced public awareness of disaster consciousness, such as disaster mitigation socialization and training, disaster risk management, and the formation of Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) based on fire disaster-resilient village indicators. These activities have positively impacted increasing community awareness, knowledge, and skills in facing and managing fire disasters. This community service aims to improve public understanding of fire disaster management through education and training and the formation of FGDs based on fire disaster-resilient village indicators. The method used is active participatory partners with four stages: assessment, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The partners in this activity are Mendahara Ilir Village. The implementation of community service enhances public understanding of the use and distribution of fire extinguishers at fire disaster risk points. The community service activities were carried out in collaboration with the East Tanjung Jabung Regency BPBD by delivering materials and conducting practical sessions. Following the community service activities, there was an average increase of 59.2% in the community's understanding of fire disaster management. The formation of FGDs involved various village community elements with tasks and objectives based on fire disaster-resilient village strategies and components. Disaster risk reduction activities must be conducted continuously to achieve a disaster-resilient village.</p> <p align="justify">[Desa Mendahara memiliki kerentanan yang tinggi terhadap bencana kebakaran. Hasil analisis situasi menunjukan bahwa Desa Mendahara merupakan kawasan permukiman padat, mayoritas hunian terbuat dari kayu, pemahaman penanggulangan bencana yang masih rendah, belum memiliki pemahaman tentang konsep persiapan menghadapi bencana, belum terbangun konsep kesiapsiagaan bencana, dan belum ada kebijakan atau peraturan pemerintah desa tentang penanganan bencana kebakaran. Berbagai kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap kesadaran bencana, seperti sosialisasi dan pelatihan mitigasi bencana, manajemen risiko bencana, serta pembentukan FGD berdasarkan indikator Desa Tangguh Bencana kebakaran. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menghadapi dan menanggulangi bencana kebakaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat dalam penanggulangan bencana kebakaran melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan, serta pembentukan FGD yang didasarkan pada indikator Desa Tangguh Bencana kebakaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah partisipatif aktif mitra dengan empat tahapan, yaitu tahap <em>assessment</em>, tahap persiapan, tahap implementasi, dan tahap evaluasi. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Desa Mendahara Ilir. Pelaksanaan pengabdian meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai penggunaan dan penyebaran alat pemadam kebakaran di titik risiko bencana kebakaran. Pelaksanaan pengabdian berupa penyampaian materi dan praktik dilakukan bersama BPBD Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Setelah pelaksanaan pengabdian, terjadi peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 59.2% terhadap pemahaman masyarakat tentang penanggulangan bencana kebakaran. <p align="justify">Religious moderation is an essential concept that should be taught and practiced by the students in Islamic senior high schools (Madrasah Aliyah), particularly in the context of an increasingly diverse society. Religious moderation emphasizes on balance, moderation, tolerance and respect for differences, both in terms of beliefs and religious practices. This community service program aimed to enhance students’ English short story writing skills which is integrated with religious moderation values. The mentorship program was conducted at MAN 2 Pamekasan and enrolled 25 students as participants. The program was carried out by applying Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) as a community service approach which consists of discovery, dream, define, design, and destiny. The activities were internalizing the religious moderation values to the students and practicing to write English short stories guided by facilitators. The result of the present community service shows that the students are gaining a better understanding of religious moderation, demonstrating improved writing skills, and being able to reflect the values of religious moderation in their short stories. The result suggested that combining creative writing with religious moderation value-based education can foster both linguistics competence and character development. Therefore, it contributes to a more harmonious school environment.<br><br>[Moderasi beragama merupakan konsep penting yang harus diajarkan dan dipraktikkan oleh siswa di Madrasah Aliyah, terutama dalam konteks masyarakat yang semakin beragam. Moderasi beragama menekankan keseimbangan, toleransi, dan penghormatan terhadap perbedaan, baik dalam hal keyakinan maupun praktik keagamaan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerpen berbahasa Inggris siswa yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama. Program pendampingan ini dilaksanakan di MAN 2 Pamekasan dengan melibatkan 25 siswa sebagai peserta. Program ini menggunakan pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) dalam pengabdian masyarakat yang terdiri dari tahap discovery, dream, define, design, dan destiny. Kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu internalisasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama kepada siswa serta pelatihan menulis cerpen berbahasa Inggris yang dibimbing oleh para fasilitator sekaligus pengabdi. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa para siswa memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang moderasi beragama, menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan menulis, dan mampu merefleksikan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam cerpen mereka.
