As a result, public schools experience a decrease in the number of students. Several public schools in the Ajatappareng Region of South Sulawesi Province implement various strategies for fostering religious character to meet the community's needs. This research aims to describe the strategies undertaken by public schools in shaping the religious character of students to increase the enthusiasm of new students. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Parepare and SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School. These two locations were selected because they have successfully increased student enthusiasm through religious character development programs. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews with school officials. The collected data is then analyzed using the Milens data analysis model. The schools use the trans-internalization model to shape the religious character of students by involving all teachers, staff, and parents. The division of responsibilities for character development between schools and parents is clear, as outlined in the student's memorization control book. The formation of students' character adjusts to the religious dimension, resulting in observable changes in student behavior towards improvement in akhlaq (morality). The success of religious character formation has an impact on the increase of new student applicants in the 2023/2024 school year by 100% from the previous year.
2024-12-27T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 TADRIS: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/tadris/article/view/10682 The Role of Islamic Education In The Struggle For Palestine Independence: History of Resistance and Education Under Israel Opposition 2025-02-22T09:26:17+07:00 Januar januar@uinbukittinggi.ac.id Alfi Rahmi alfirahmi@uinbukittinggi.ac.id Al Ihksan alikhsanuinbkt@gmail.com Md Noor Bin Hussin mdnoor@kuis.edu.my
This research aims to find out the history of the Palestinian struggle and the close relationship between Islamic education and the struggle for independence. In addition, this research explores the role of education as a source of strength, how the struggle for independence is reflected in the curriculum, and the challenges and hopes of Islamic education in Palestine. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, which makes it possible to explore and explain the contribution of Islamic education to the Palestinian struggle. Research methods include document analysis, literature study, and interviews with Islamic education experts. In this case, those interviewed were Islamic Education experts from UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi and Islamic Education experts from UIN Arraniry Banda Aceh. The research results show that Islamic education had a key role in the struggle for independence under Israeli occupation, despite facing significant challenges such as access restrictions, school closures, and limited resources. Even so, Islamic education remains an important force in maintaining the spirit of struggle, nurturing cultural identity, and connecting the young Palestinian generation with the history of their struggle. The educational curriculum reflects the values of struggle and justice, which are the motivation for efforts to achieve independence. Amid ongoing conflict and pressure resulting from the occupation, education remains one of the main pillars of maintaining Palestinian identity and advancing the ideals of independence.
2024-12-27T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 TADRIS: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/tadris/article/view/15251 Development of the SYAM (Synectic – Amtsal) Model in Islamic Religious Education Learning at SMPN 1 Margahayu 2025-02-22T09:25:46+07:00 Fahmi Fazar fahmifazar@upi.edu Faisal Fauzan Ilyasa faisalfauzan01@upi.edu Rizal Permana rizal.permana@upi.edu Syahidin syahidin@upi.edu Abdillah Muflih 5422040053@stu.iu.edu.sa
This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the SYAM (Synectic-Amtsal) Learning Model in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at the junior high school level. The SYAM model is designed by integrating the Synectic approach, which focuses on developing creativity and critical thinking through analogy, with the Amtsal method, which uses parables in the Qur'an to facilitate understanding of religious concepts. This study used a mixed methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, which involved qualitative analysis to design the model and quantitative tests to measure its effectiveness. The results showed that the implementation of the SYAM Model significantly improved students' understanding, as evidenced by the increase in mean scores from 79.35 in the pretest to 89.41 in the posttest based on paired sample t-test (p < 0.001) and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test (p < 0.001). This model not only helps students understand the material better but also improves critical thinking skills and internalization of religious values effectively. Nevertheless, this study has limitations on the number of samples and treatment duration, so it is recommended to conduct further research with wider coverage and longer duration. The results of this study make a significant contribution to the innovation of religion-based learning models that are interactive, relevant, and contextual to improve the quality of learning in schools.

2024-12-31T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 TADRIS: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/tadris/article/view/13583 Implementation of Islamic Education Values Based on Prophetic Communication in Forming Akhlakul Karimah in Madrasah Tsanawiyah 2025-02-22T09:25:31+07:00 M. Jaafar mjfauzia@uum.edu.my
The education system in China is heavily influenced by Confucianism, which has led to an exam-oriented education system and a teacher-centered approach to learning. This environment is less conducive to the implementation of formative assessment, which emphasizes evaluating the learning process. However, this does not mean that process-based assessments are not applied in China. On the contrary, formative assessments are still used despite challenges from a system that prioritizes exam results. This article discusses the implementation, effectiveness, and challenges of formative assessment in China. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the help of Prisma 2020. The results show that formative assessment in China is implemented through various methods such as student journals, portfolios, teacher-student interactions, formative tasks, self-assessment, peer assessment, classroom observation, and feedback. Formative assessment has proven effective in improving students' academic performance. However, its implementation faces challenges at the macro level (national education policy), meso level (school management), and micro level (classroom practices). Several formative assessment practices in China that can be adapted for assessment in Islamic education include feedback, portfolios, formative tasks, self-assessment, and peer assessment.
2025-01-29T06:47:02+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 TADRIS: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/tadris/article/view/14965 Strengthening Religious Moderation through Religious Education Based on Local Wisdom of Pesantren in Madura and the Tapal Kuda Region 2025-02-22T09:25:01+07:00 Zainuddin Syarif doktorzainuddinsyarif@gmail.com Abdul Mukti Thabrani abdulmuktithabrani@iainmadura.ac.id Imamuddin imamuddin@um.edu.my
This study examines strengthening religious moderation through religious education based on the local wisdom among the Pesantren in Madura and Tapal Kuda regions. This study is a field study conducted based on qualitative research. Based on the analysis of field data, this study found that strengthening religious moderation through local wisdom values of pesantren in Madura and the Tapal Kuda region requires three elements, namely the existence of kiai, santri, and alumni, along with their social networks. These three elements are inseparable from Islamic boarding school life in educational activities and preaching. In strengthening religious moderation, all three play central and strategic roles and functions. They generally carry out these roles and functions in two approaches at once. First, the structural approach is carried out by strengthening moderation at the institutional level, in this case, education, and implementing teaching activities. Second, the cultural approach that strengthens religious moderation among pesantren in Tapal Kuda is carried out through cultural methods. The artistic process in question includes two things, namely religious understanding, and rituals in pesantren, where the majority of religious paradigms among pesantren in the Tapal Kuda region of Madura adhere to the knowledge of Ahlu sunah wal jamaah an-Nahdliyyah.
2025-02-05T10:27:33+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 TADRIS: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam https://ejournal.iainmadura.ac.id/index.php/tadris/article/view/15185 PAI Teacher's Efforts in Fighting Radicalism at Indonesia: A Genealogical Analiysis 2025-02-22T09:24:45+07:00 Akh Syaiful Rijal rumahbarukangenan@gmail.com
This study aims to find ideal conceptual ideas in order to deal with issues of radicalism through the role of madrasa teachers in the formal learning process in madrasas. The notion of radicalism is seen as dangerous for the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This understanding is contradictory to the values of Islamic teachings, where Islam upholds the principles of tolerance, peace, and the principle of respecting one's beliefs. This research uses a qualitative approach with genealogical data analysis. The genealogical data analysis technique analyzes or fills in relevant content reference sources to trace historical traces and formulate solutions to the problem of radicalism. The results of this study indicate that madrasa teachers play an important role in stemming the notion of radicalism. Intense interaction between teachers and students in the learning process at school is the main key to incorporating the values of Islamic teachings that are in harmony with a sense of nationalism so that a millennial generation with good character is formed. The efforts made include the preparation process, the learning process, the monitoring process, and the evaluation process. The initial process is to get used to the tradition of singing the anthem Indonesia Raya and Hubbul Wathan. In addition, madrasa teachers also carry out the learning process by adhering to 5 main principles: respect for others, moderation, respect for creators, tolerance, and fairness.
2025-02-20T14:15:25+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 TADRIS: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam
