AUTHOR FEES

El Nubuwwah: Jurnal Studi Hadis charges the following author fees:

1. Article Submission Charge: IDR 0 (USD 0) Authors are not required to pay any fee during the manuscript submission process.

2. Editorial Processing Charge: IDR 350,000 (± USD 20) Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening and proceed to the peer review stage are subject to an Editorial Processing Charge of IDR 350,000 (± USD 20). This charge covers the administrative cost of processing the manuscript — including initial eligibility screening, plagiarism detection, and assignment to peer reviewers — and does not guarantee that the manuscript will be accepted for publication.

Refund Policy: If a manuscript is rejected during or after the peer review process, the Editorial Processing Charge will be refunded in full to the author. Refund requests must be submitted by email to elnubuwwah@uinmadura.ac.id within 30 days of the rejection notice, and will be processed within 14 working days.

3. Article Publication Charge (APC) Effective from Volume 4, Issue 2 (December 2026), manuscripts accepted for publication are subject to a separate Article Publication Charge (APC), which covers layout, DOI registration, and publication costs. This charge is billed only after a formal acceptance decision has been issued.

The applicable APC is as follows:

  • IDR 400,000 (± USD 22) for authors affiliated with Universitas Islam Negeri Madura, international authors, or manuscripts co-authored with international collaborators.
  • IDR 650,000 (± USD 37) for authors affiliated with institutions other than Universitas Islam Negeri Madura.

Note: the USD conversions above are approximate, based on the reference exchange rate at the time this policy was issued or last updated, and are subject to change with currency fluctuations. All payments are processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR); USD amounts are provided for reference only for international authors.

5. Payment Confirmation Once payment has been made, proof of payment must be sent by email to elnubuwwah@uinmadura.ac.id.

Article Processing Charge (APC) History For transparency, the journal provides the following history of its author fee policy:

  • Prior to Volume 3, Issue 1 (January 2025), the journal did not charge any Article Submission Charge, Editorial Processing Charge, or Article Publication Charge.
  • Beginning with Volume 3, Issue 1 (January 2025), the journal introduced an Editorial Processing Charge of IDR 350,000 (± USD 20) for manuscripts proceeding to the review stage. Prior to Volume 4, Issue 2 (December 2026), this charge also covered the publication fee.
  • Effective from Volume 4, Issue 2 (December 2026), the journal revised its author fee policy by separating the Editorial Processing Charge (IDR 350,000 / ± USD 20) from the Article Publication Charge (IDR 400,000 / ± USD 22 or IDR 650,000 / ± USD 37, depending on author affiliation), and introduced a refund policy for rejected manuscripts as well as a fee waiver policy for authors unable to pay.
