Abstract
Majelis Taklim is a community with potential human resources that can be empowered to benefit its members and society. This community service aims to empower the Majelis Taklim Hidayatullah of Tenggela village in processing blondo-based food using the Asset Based Community Development ABCD method. Blondo is the dregs of coconut milk that are cooked to produce oil in the form of small lumps, the processing of which takes hours. The members of the Majelis Taklim Hidayatullah have diverse potential; some have skills in flower arranging, sewing, and making snacks. On the other hand, Tenggela Village has many natural resources, such as coconuts. blondo often becomes environmental waste, so members of the Majelis Taklim took the initiative to use blondo as food. Therefore, the service team provides assistance training in making and packaging food from blondo. The results of the service show that (1) Majelis Taklim Hidayatullah members have potential in processing food; (2) Tenggela Village has a source of raw materials for making blondo cake; (3) Public interest in consuming blondo snacks and pepes blondo is still minimal.
