Abstract

This research aims to describe the relevance of the educational values ​​contained in the short story collection "Champions of Honesty Volume 2" in character formation in early childhood. The method used is descriptive qualitative research, because this research is only to describe and analyze the character values ​​contained in the children's story "Champions of Honesty" created by participants in the 2016 anti-corruption teacher supercamp. Data collection was carried out through reading and writing. , with certain steps: (1) Carefully read each short story from the "Champion of Honesty" collection, (2) Identify character values ​​such as selfless helpfulness, willingness to admit mistakes, perseverance, and awareness of protecting the environment in the stories These are, (3) Classifying the identified character values ​​data, and (4) Ensuring the validity of the data through careful observation and adequate references. The research results will focus on four character education values, namely selfless help, willingness to admit mistakes, perseverance, and awareness of protecting the environment. After analyzing these four values, the researcher concluded that these values ​​are important to teach from an early age and are very relevant in children's education. Therefore, active participation from educators and parents is very necessary in shaping children's character in accordance with these values.
