Abstract

This study explores the potential of implementing the Eco-print technique as a creative and environmentally friendly learning method for students at Ponteh 1 Elementary School, Galis, Pamekasan. Eco-print is a textile coloring technique using natural elements such as leaves, flowers, stems, and fruits that not only create unique patterns but also teach environmental conservation values. This research implemented the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method and successfully utilized local resources for the development and empowerment of the school community. Students were taught to create their own Eco-print works and the results were exhibited to promote local art and creativity. Although some students encountered challenges in implementing the Eco-print technique, the majority of them demonstrated an improvement in understanding and skills. This study shows that introducing Eco-print at the elementary school level can be an effective strategy to increase environmental awareness and student creativity, while also utilizing local natural resources.
