Abstract

Blended Learning is a learning model that combines two different learning models, namely face-to-face learning with learning using technology (online or offline). The learning model was made one of the alternative avenues applied at MI Tarbiyatus Shibyan during the Covid-19 era to provide opportunities for students to learn through technology-based learning without leaving face-to-face learning, considering that continuous learning online by utilizing technology is deemed less effective and not can be fully successful for MI age children, because they still need direct interaction from the teacher in understanding the material. Thus, the authors are interested in knowing the extent to which the blended learning model has been implemented using the WhatsApp media, because the whatsapp media is a learning medium that is easy to use in the learning process. This research uses descriptive qualitative research, data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation related to the application of the blended learning model at MI Tarbiyatus Shibyan.
