PENDIDIKAN ISLAM MARHAMAH SEBAGAI BASIS HARMONI PERADABAN
Abstract
kurang mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif
sehingga melahirkan pemahaman agama yang eksklusif serta lemah
dalam memahami kearifan budaya. Akibatnya, pendidikan Islam
belum berhasil membangun manusia Islami yang berkarakter. Bahkan
di tengah meluasnya anjuran sikap toleran inter dan antar umat
beragama, kekerasan bernuansa agama masih saja terjadi. Fenomena
tersebut merupakan indikator nyata dari belum efektifnya strategi,
model dan fungsi pendidikan Islam yang selama ini dijalankan.
Karena itu, mendesak untuk “membumikan” pendidikan Islam
berbasis marhamah sebagai perekat baru integrasi umat yang sekian
lama tercabik-cabik. Pendidikan Islam berbasis marhamah dapat
menjadi fondasi dan pilar penyangga bagi keberagamaan yang hakiki
sehingga terwujud harmoni peradaban yang dicita-citakan.
