PROFESIONALISME GURU MATA PELAJARAN SKI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF SISWA DI MTSN 1 PAMEKASAN
Abstract
The Professionalism of Teachers Plays a Key Role in Enhancing Student Cognitive Abilities, Particularly in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) Subjects at the Madrasah Level. This research aims to analyze the professionalism of SKI teachers and its impact on improving students' cognitive abilities at MTsN 1 Pamekasan. The research method employed a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included SKI subject teachers, the school principal, and a number of students.
Research findings reveal that the professionalism of SKI teachers at MTsN 1 Pamekasan is reflected through professional and pedagogical competencies that are quite good, while personal and social aspects are excellent. The strategies implemented include the use of innovative learning methods, technology-based learning media development, and contextual approaches in delivering Islamic history materials.
The research findings demonstrate a positive correlation between teacher professionalism and the improvement of students' cognitive abilities, characterized by an increase in average learning outcomes and enhanced student interest and motivation in studying Islamic Cultural History. The translation maintains the academic tone and preserves the key points of the original Indonesian text, presenting a clear and professional English version of the research abstract.
